At Vicky's Tutoring, we believe in providing high-quality education at affordable rates. Our flexible pricing caters to both group and individual sessions, ensuring every student receives the support they need.

Rates for Kindergarten to Grade 8

Group Sessions: $25 per 1-hour class

Individual Sessions: $35 per 1-hour class

Rates for Grades 9 to 12

Group Sessions: $30 per 1-hour class

Individual Sessions: $40 per 1-hour class

One-Time Book Fee

A one-time book fee of $20 per subject applies to all students upon enrollment. This fee ensures students have access to the necessary materials for a successful learning experience.

Group Lesson Structure

At Vicky’s Tutoring, we believe that effective learning happens when lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each student. That’s why, in our group sessions:

We never mix different grades or subjects in the same group. For example:

A Grade 4 Language group will only include students in Grade 4 learning language skills.
A Grade 6 Math group will be separate from Grade 6 Language, and from other grades such as Grade 5 or Grade 4 Math.
Each group is focused exclusively on one grade and one subject.

Unlike many tutoring centres that combine students of different grades and subjects in the same class or simply hand out worksheets, we focus on teaching concepts. Our tutors actively engage with students, explain material thoroughly, and provide individualized attention within the group setting.

This approach ensures that every child receives the support they need to truly understand and excel, without being left behind or held back by mismatched group dynamics.

Our Class Frequency Recommendation

At Vicky’s Tutoring, we understand that every family’s schedule is different, and students are welcome to take as many classes as they wish per week. However, based on our experience, we recommend two 1-hour sessions per subject on separate days each week for the best results. Here’s why:

Ample Time to Cover Material: Splitting the subject across two separate days allows us to introduce new topics in one session and dedicate the second session to deepening understanding. This approach ensures thorough coverage of all material.

2. Reinforcing Learning: In the first session, we teach the material and assign homework for practice. The second session later in the week is an opportunity to review assignments, address questions, and reinforce what was taught.

3. Consistency Matters: Two sessions per week on separate days help maintain steady progress and avoid large gaps between lessons, which can make it harder for students to retain information.

While one session per week is always an option, families often find that two sessions provide the ideal balance between learning, practice, and review. Ultimately, our goal is to work with your schedule and ensure your child’s success.
